This picture doesn’t really need any words at all.  It’s just the sweetest!

GIRLS WEEKEND IN KANSAS CITY

Kelley, Cara, and I took a trip down to Kansas City to stay with Sarah for the weekend.  As always, we shopped and had a great time—coming back home feeling refreshed!

Kelley and I drove down together and arrived just a bit before Sarah got home from work.  So, we sat out in the driveway with a cold beverage and some grapes while we waited for Sarah.

Friday night we went out in Kansas City.  We went to a few bars and then out to a fabulous dinner.

All day Saturday was spent shopping.  We went to the outlet mall first and then down to the Plaza.  We ate lunch and drank some delicious margaritas at our favorite Mexican restaurant.  This place has the best fish tacos and the best margaritas!  It’s also pretty amazing that we can sit and eat lunch outside in February!

The damage done between the four of us!  I love our time together in Kansas City!  So much fun!!!

JUMP ROPE FOR HEART

IMG_0353

The kids have such a great time participating in Jump Rope For Heart in PE class.  They do a good job asking some family members to donate.  At the end of it, they come home with all these cool gifts from Jump Rope for Heart! This is the picture we sent out to their donators with a Thank You card.

BUDDIES

Brady and Ty.

We brought Ty home after school one afternoon to hang out and play.  For February 19th they had a beautiful day to play outside!  I enjoyed watching and listening to their cute little conversations.  So thankful that our boys have some great friends!

PACKED AND READY TO GO!

We planned a trip up to the Mall of America over our Spring Break with Grandma Mary, Josh, Liz, and Delaney.  We waited and waited to tell the kids about it to hold of all the questions like, ‘how many more days?’, etc.  We finally told them in February.  The day that we told them Brady went straight up to his bedroom and packed for the trip.  He also wrote a note and taped it above his bag that said ‘March Stuf.’  I think he was a little bit excited!

The bag is packed, he’s got a blanket ready, and the note tells all of us to not mess with his ‘March Stuf!’  :)

I love this about him!

MILLION WORDS READ!!!

IMG_0326

We are all so very proud of Tyler and his huge accomplishment of reaching 1 million words read in his 2nd grade year!  This is a huge accomplishment for 3rd graders to reach by the end of 3rd grade, so for Tyler to reach this goal by February is just outstanding and we couldn’t be more happy and proud!  He set out to reach this goal at the beginning of his 2nd grade year and with the help of Harry Potter books, he met it with plenty of time to spare.  He is also very proud of himself!

WINTER BASKETBALL

TYLER’S BASKETBALL—MARYLAND TERRAPINS

Tyler had such a fun basketball season.  It was his first season where they actually played a real game each Saturday morning.  And he and his team learned and progressed so much throughout the season.  They may not have been the team to get the most wins, but they did have a great time each and every game!  He had some good friends on the team (Caden, Micah, and Cade), which helped make it more fun!

I look forward to watching these three grow up through sporting events.  It’s already been so much fun these past few years!

BRADY’S BASKETBALL

Brady learned a lot through basketball this year as well.  His was more like a camp every Saturday afternoon.  They did drills and shooting for the first half and then they scrimmaged the second half.  Brady did great at shooting, dribbling, and really learned about the game and how to be ‘sneaky’ to steal the ball.  :)
