CUDDLE TIME

Gotta love cuddle time on the couch with my two little boys!

FOOTBALL

Football is a never ending game in our house. This is a typical weekend afternoon. The boys love to run around, play fumble, and throw the football.
It also seems like they can never keep their clothes on. Here's Brady, with football in hand, and no shirt. And Tyler, with football in hand, and in his boxers.
"Football!"
"Fumble!"
Brady playing with Daddy.
Such Fun!

CUPCAKES

We made our Valentine's cupcakes a week late. They still tasted great and both boys loved to decorate them with sprinkles. Not only did they enjoy decorating them, but eating them was also a treat!

OLD MCDONALD'S PLAYPLACE

For the first time we took the boys to a McDonalds Playplace. We do not have a McDonalds with a Playplace in town, so we took a little 20 minute trip to the nearest one. Tyler calls McDonalds 'Old McDonalds' for some reason. It's really cute, though! We all had a great time on this particular Sunday afternoon and spent a couple hours away from home playing in warmth and out of the cold. It was the worst food experience that I have ever had at McDonalds, but it was still a great afternoon. The boys don't get fast food often at all, so just McDonald's was a treat to them. The Playplace made it extra special for them and they were very thankful to us for taking them.
The playplace is supposed to be for kids ages 3-12, but Brady still ran his way around the 'gym.'
Tyler had an absolute blast!
Tyler coming down the slide.
Lee played as well and took Brady down the slide for the first time. The rest of the time, Brady did it all on his own.
I also played. It was pretty fun!
We ate dinner around the piano. It played and the keys moved all by itself. The boys thought that was pretty cool!

HUSBAND AND WIFE WEEKEND PROJECT

Lee and I took on a project this weekend. We "made" new countertops and they turned out awesome! It all started on Friday night after the boys went to bed with putting the base coat on the countertops. Saturday morning I took the boys to my mom's. They got to have their first "slumber party" at Grandma's house. There was just no way that this countertop project could have gotten done with the boys in the house, so we arranged it so that they could stay at Grandma's for 24 hours. This was the first time that they have stayed somewhere without Lee or I with them. They did great, as expected. I however, made plenty of phone calls to my mom to check up on them. Having them 1 hour away and just for one night, was enough for me!

It also turned out that this was Valentine's weekend, so Lee and I got to enjoy a great night out last night for dinner and then went home to watch a movie. We also enjoyed a solid night of sleep and slept in until 7:30 this morning!

Anyway, here's some before and after pictures of our countertops.

BEFORE
AFTER
We used a "kit" called Giani. There are 5 steps to get great looking "granite" countertops. We are very happy with how they turned out.

BEAUTIFUL DAY!

So it may not have felt like a beautiful day to all, but to us, this 50 degree day felt amazing and much needed! We enjoyed some great time out in the fresh air today. We played on the slide, swings, built snowmen, took a walk in the double stroller, rode on the scooter, colored with chalk, and blew bubbles! We all were thrilled to be outside. The boys had such a great time playing. It may look cold in these pictures because of all the snow, but it really did feel wonderful!

Here's the boys on the slide.
They absolutely love to swing and could have swung forever today.
I don't think Brady stopped smiling the entire time on the swing.
Another very happy little boy.
Here's MY snowman.
And there's Lee's.
I think he won.
Tyler sat here and blew bubbles for the longest time. It was so fun to watch him!

RANDOM PHOTOS

Here's some great random photos from the past few weeks.
Tyler loves to dress up as a cowboy, even more now than ever, since he's into Toy Story.
Yee-Haw!
And then there's our John Deere Engineer!
This was Brady's first time with Play-Doh. We have done it many times since then, but the first time took alot of telling him to NOT put it into his mouth.
Bath time has gotten much more fun with our Octopus spout cover, colored tablets to feed the Octopus that change the water color, and water crayons!
The boys enjoy their bath together. (sometimes.)
Oh, to be the child of a Kindergarten teacher! Yes, I let him draw with his crayons and have fun, but why can't we also work on our shapes, colors, and alphabet???
We're also working on him tracing his letters in his name. It's not going so well yet, but he does have his alphabet, colors, and shapes mastered!
We are looking forward to the day that we can play outside and ride toys! Here's Brady pushing Tyler on the truck.
And Tyler pushing Brady on the truck.
All three of us vacuuming. I do not tell them to do this, but when I get my vacuum out, they go and grab theirs and start "helping" me. :)

SUPER BOWL SUNDAY

We went over to our friends house for Super Bowl Sunday. 5 families with a total of 14 kids! CRAZY! And now...there are twins coming this summer. --NOT from us! :)

We had a fun time. I hope that Lee was able to relax and watch the game, because I know that I did not watch even one play of the game or even one commercial. However, as crazy as it was, it was much fun.

Tyler was very upset with us at the end of the night that we were making him leave.
I tried and tried to get a picture of both Brady and Camryn looking at the camera at the same time, but I did not succeed.
Here's Brady and ...
Here's sweet Camryn.
All the kids stopped running around the house for a bit to watch and dance to the (lousy) half-time performance. Here's Tyler and Brady (amongst other kids) dancing.
The kids dancing and the adults watching.
This was the dinner table when the kids ate. Way too much fun!
