When you ask Tyler what he wants to be when he grows up, he will always answer with "a doctor." I believe that I've shared this before in a post, but we went deeper in conversation over this past weekend. Yes, Tyler loves fire trucks, police cars, dump trucks, and everything "boy", but he is set on becoming a doctor when he grows up. So, this weekend, we were talking about him being a dr. and I then decided to dig a little deeper.
I asked, "What kind of dr. do you want to be? What or who do you want to take care of?" "You could be an eye dr., an animal dr., a baby dr., a foot dr., a back dr......"
Tyler said, without hesitation, "a baby dr."
I yelled to the other room to see if Lee had heard what he said. He told me to ask him what kind of baby dr.
So, I asked, "do you want to take care of babies when they are like Brady or do you want to bring babies into this world?"
He said, "Into this world!"
So, there we have it.
Think about how rewarding that job would be...to bring a human life into the world every day! :) We are so proud of our Tyler!

PERFECT FALL EVENING
My mom stopped by today to play for the day. We had a great day of play and while the boys napped, my mom and I ran some errands. It was a perfect fall evening tonight, so after dinner, we headed out to the fire pit and sat around the fire. What a great end to the weekend!
SATURDAY
This past Saturday was a very rainy day! We ran a few errands as a family, but then spent the rest of the day at home playing. It did stop raining for a good 1/2 hour at some point, which we then ran outside to play! Here's some pictures of our Saturday.
Here's Brady in his pimpin' Puma suit. Lee spike his hair which completed the outfit.
Tyler was looking for a very little boomerang that goes with this guy he got from a happy meal one time. So, he and Brady took EVERYTHING out of the toy chest. Tyler was sitting in the chest towards the end going through all the little stuff. I was okay with this, because I got to see all the little garbage that was in the chest and threw those things away! Brady really enjoyed "helping" Tyler try to find his boomerang.
At this point, they still had a ways to go, but were loving it!

Here's a picture of the boys in their Cardinal gear. Brady really wants out of this picture and wants Tyler's hands OFF of him! It's the best picture I could get!
We got into the homecoming spirit this week and weekend! We went over to our friends house on Friday night before the football game for some chili and cinnamon rolls. There were 5 families there and 15 little kids! We have done this once already this year and also had a great time with the same families! The guys take the "older" kids to the football game and the gals stay back with the little ones and chat. Tyler had such a great time at the game playing with the other kids. I'm sure he didn't even watch a second of the game. He enjoys wrestling around in the grass with a couple other boys and running around with all the other kids. Lee said that on their walk back to our friends house Tyler and Addie (our babysitter's little girl who is 4) were holding hands and talking about the stars in the sky. Too cute! I wish that Lee would have had our camera! Brady and I also had a great time staying back at the house and playing. He did awesome and never once got cranky! Life MAY be starting to get a bit easier!!!

US
Here's some pictures of our photo session for Brady's 1 year pics. They are pictures taken of pictures...on the computer. So...they really do not look like great quality, but what we will be getting are really great quality photos. I just had to share a few of these pics on the blog, because I love them!

APPLE ORCHARD
The boys and I took a trip to Iowa City this past weekend to stay with my mom. Lee had his annual squirrel hunt in southern Iowa, so I thought it would be fun to stay the weekend at Grandma's! And, by the way, NO, Lee did not shoot any squirrels. He says that they're too quick. At least he had fun drinking beer and watching football!
My mom and I took the boys to the Apple Orchard on Saturday. It was a gorgeous day and such a fun outing! I had never been to an apple orchard before, so this was a neat experience. The boys loved it, loved eating the apples, and loved the tractor ride! We picked our own apples, enjoyed apple turnovers, an apple cider doughnut, and then I made a wonderful apple crisp with our apples when I got back home on Sunday! PERFECT!
You can't see our little faces well, but on the far left is Tyler, in the middle is Brady and I'm on the right.
Again, you can't see this well, but as I was taking this picture, I was dying of laughter at what was actually happening. Brady was walking over to the basket and tripped and fell. My mom was holding onto Tyler, turned around, tripped over Brady and then fell. My mom and Tyler fell very slowly and softly and didn't get hurt. And as you can tell from the picture, Brady didn't get hurt at all, he just wanted another apple! So, Brady falls, Tyler falls, Grandma falls, and I laugh and take their picture! Too funny!
Lifting Tyler up to pick an apple.
Tyler munching on his, one of many, apples.

STILL HERE!
It's been awhile since I've posted, but I guess that's because we really haven't been up to much around here. Since school has started, we are back into a routine and are all going to bed early! Here's a few pictures from September so far. We took the boys to the football field here in town. They threw the football around and ran, ran, ran! Tyler had a great time and really didn't want to leave. However, it was almost dinner time and his face was extremely red!
Here's Tyler trailing behind (crying) because he didn't want to leave the football field.
Brady picking up the big ball.
Smiley Brady.
The two boys.

We took a short trip to Bass Pro Shop recently to exchange some things. The boys loved the BIG toys! Here's Brady taking a ride!
And Tyler taking his ride. Notice Brady in the background trying to climb up on the other one.
This is Brady's favorite thing to do outside right now. Get in the car, get out of the car, walk around, get in the car, get out of the car, walk around, repeat, repeat, repeat.
We went to my Grandma Kriz's over Labor Day weekend to see her, my mom, aunts, uncles, etc. We had a great lunch, played outside, and saw my Uncle Rex's birds. He has raised birds since I was little and is still into it! Now that he's retired, he's even more into it! Tyler got to bring home one big peacock feather and a few small ones. He LOVES his big peacock feather! I think he was part scared and part loving this bird barn. And Brady had NO idea what to think!
Uncle Rex's birds. That yellow and red one was so pretty! It is a golden pheasant.
Here's the boys actually playing together at the refrigerator. Gotta love those fridge toys!
Tyler and Bailey. Yep, Bailey is still hanging in there!
Dad made our slide into a water slide. Tyler was loving it! And, yes, he's in just his underwear. It was kinda a spur of the moment event!
