FUN DAY OUT!

The boys and I had a great day out with Grandma Mary on Tuesday, July 22!  We left the house in the morning and went straight to Build-A-Bear to get their very own Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle!  They were beyond excited and we probably could have ended our day there and they would have been on cloud 9.  However, there was more to do and they were 2 very lucky little boys on this day.

And our final stop of the day was Sky Zone!  This was their first time there and it didn’t disappoint.  They had a great time and jumped for 1 hour straight!

THANKFUL FOR GOOD FRIENDS

We are so very thankful to have some great friends!  Not only do Lee and I have great friends to hang out with, but the kids have some wonderful friends as well.  And when we can all get together at the same time, it makes everything so easy and wonderful!  We have enjoyed our summer with get togethers with the Woolums’ and the McLennan’s.  Delaney and Ty are great friends to Tyler and Brady!  I can’t wait until baby McLennan makes her appearance in December, it will only add more happiness to our visits!

SCIENCE CENTER OF IOWA

We had a great ‘field trip day’ to the Science Center on Friday, July 18th.  I took the boys and we met my friend Tory, and her two kids, Emery and Bode.  The kids had a great time exploring Science and play and I got to catch up with Tory!  After a full morning at the Science Center we walked to Spaghetti Works for some lunch.  It was such a great day with the kids!

I made them a rocket to launch.  This was one of their favorite activities from the day!

Another one of their favorites was to have a wrapped fake egg drop and see if it would crack or not by watching the TV screen.

Playing meteorologist and giving the weather forecast.  Loving the green screen and green clothes to make them have ‘floating’ heads and bodies.

MORE SUMMER WATER FUN

Summer time at home with my kids definitely has its moments, but we always try to have a good time.  We spend as much time as we can outside playing.  And on a hot day, nothing beats a pool at the end of your slide!

WEDDING FUN!

DSC_0475

We had a great day at my cousin, Whitney’s, wedding on July 12th.  Her and Matt had a gorgeous wedding and we all had a great time!  Brady danced the night away and it was just so good to see all of my cousins.  We got some great family pictures with all of us in attendance!
