We are so unbelievably proud of our kids and their accomplishments that they have made throughout this school year! They are both amazingly smart and both the sweetest, well-rounded kids!
They both came home with plenty of Awards from our Awards Assembly on the second to last day of school!

Tyler received One Million Word Reader Award and T-Shirt, Outstanding Citizenship Award, and a Talent Show Trophy.
Brady received 2 Math Awards, Outstanding Attendance, and a Super Reader Award.
Tyler, along with only 4 other 2nd graders, made it to One Million Words Read. As you can see, he is very proud!!!
I cannot say enough how proud we are of them. They had a pretty awesome 2nd grade and Kindergarten year. I know they will both continue to do amazing things in school and I cannot wait to witness it all!

Tyler was in the TJ Talent Show again on the second to last day of school of his 2nd grade year.
He and Ethan Pageler decided to do some Magic Tricks from Tyler’s Magic box that he got for Christmas.
They chose a few cool tricks and did a fantastic job!
The tricks they did were an empty box trick that ended up being filled with candy for Mrs. Bennett, a money machine trick that made REAL money!, and an oreo cookie trick that showed Tyler taking a bite of a cookie, but then “abracadabra” and it came back!
It was so good! Now let’s see what he comes up with in his 3rd grade year….and if Brady joins him!
This was also the first year the the 2nd grade team took charge of the Talent Show. So, it was a lot of work on my end and sometimes pretty stressful, but we pulled off a great show and everyone loved it! And as it was our last year with the 5 of us, it was a good note to end on. I will miss Brittany and Stefanie!
May 23rd, 2016
Our 2nd grade took a field trip to Jacob Krumm Nature Preserve. It was a great trip and was even better that Tyler chose to walk around with me and my class instead of with his class! :)
They got to do and see so much! We started with netting creatures in the lake then went on a nature hike to learn about all the plants. We also took another nature hike and did a scavenger hunt. We played games and then we sat and learned about some snakes and other animals.
We had a gorgeous day to be outside and we enjoyed it so very much! It was a great way to wrap up Tyler’s 2nd grade year!
The Easter Bunny gave us Adventureland season passes for the 2016 season! We loved this and used them to the max!!! It was such a great summer and so many memories were made at Adventureland!
May 22nd
Our first trip was on May 22nd and we went as a family. We had a great time and the excitement on the boys’ faces was priceless!

We got our old time photos taken on this first trip so it was over and done with. I love how they turned out!
May 29th
Lee took the boys on this Sunday and I had a few hours at home alone. They had a great time as always.
June 1st
The Scrambler became a quick favorite for the boys.
Tyler loved this tube ride so much he didn’t mind riding it by himself.

June 8th
First ride on the Monster for Brady and I!
Brady has no fear, so riding the Monster needed to happen! And I was the one there to ride it with him. He loved it! I thought it was good and was very happy I took some dramamine beforehand.
June 9th
They very next day, Tyler decided he wanted to ride the Monster with us. So the 3 of us went again!
Time spent in the arcade was always fun!
On most days we packed a lunch and ate in the air conditioned van before heading back in for more fun in the afternoon.

June 29th
Taking the train ride in the morning right when we got there. It was chilly and rainy. We don’t look miserable, but we were. After that train ride we went and bought us some ponchos so we could continue on with our day happily.
Then we enjoyed an indoor magic show. We loved it!
We also got to hang out with the Frehse’s that day as well!
And more naps on the way home.
July 1st
We headed to Adventureland with the Woollums’.
Long line for the Raging River, but it was so worth it. Everyone got soaked and had a great time!
July 8th
Tyler’s favorite ride was the Storm Chaser. He rode it by himself most times, as Brady wasn’t tall enough to ride it. By he didn’t mind at all!
July 18th
The G-Force also became one of their favorite rides! It’s located inside the arcade.
July 20th
We had Lee come home for work at a decent time and we spent an entire evening/night at Adventureland. It was a great summer night!
The boys and Lee had a great time swimming while I relaxed in the lounger.
We had such a great summer at Adventureland! Looking forward to next summer already!!!
