It really seems like we have gone from spring to winter (finally) in the past week. The boys had spent all last week playing outside at daycare and then again when we got home in the afternoon. The weather had been absolutely amazing! We were actually getting up into the 60's last week, and for January in Iowa, that's pretty much unheard of. We have gone this winter with just a couple of light snow falls, not amounting to much. Just yesterday, it snowed pretty much the whole day, which made us go from no snow at all to about 3 inches. Brady has quite the cold, so when Tyler and Lee went outside to play in the snow yesterday, Brady was unable to. He wasn't too happy about the decision we made for him, but we were not backing down. He ended up having fun watching them from the window anyhow. Today, Superbowl Sunday, Brady is still not feeling well, and actually ran a fever last night and a little this morning, so again he is laying low. Tyler, on the other hand, has stayed busy today. Tyler and I went to church this morning. After church, he came home to take a quick 30 minute nap so that he could go sledding with his dad. Lee and Tyler met some others to go sledding. Lee said that Tyler had a blast and loved every minute of it! Now, Tyler and Lee took off for the Superbowl Party that we were all supposed to be at. Brady's hanging out and watching some TV, laying low, and hopefully will be all better for tomorrow. So, whether it's 60 degrees and sunny or 30 with big snowflakes, we are loving to be outside playing!
Playing in the sandbox on a January day, which felt like spring.
Tyler, trying to climb the tree.
Lee and I were trying to rearrange our living room on Saturday. It ended up not working, but while the couch was in front of the big window, the kids loved sitting on the couch and watching the snow fall.
This is Tyler and Lee rolling up a ball to build a snowman.
And...Brady watching from the window.
Tyler actually didn't stay out too long. He said he kept getting snowflakes in his eyes. :) But, Lee kept working on the snowman and really just enjoyed being a big kid and playing in the snow!
The top ball for the snowman was way too big and busted the snowman, so Lee jumped into it. The kids loved watching Lee play in the snow!
After continuously throwing snowballs at the windows at the kids, Lee came up to the window. I think this picture is cute, because you can see Brady's reflection in the window. They both were laughing histerically every time a snowball hit the window!
