We had such a great Christmas Eve this year!
Lee and I took the boys into Des Moines to go see the movie Road Chip, an Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. It was funny and we all loved it! And while we were there, we got some snow on our Chirstmas Eve to finally make things look white for Chistmas!
God gave me my Christmas present early! I was so wanting a white Christmas and He made it happen! We got some snow on Christmas Eve and it stayed through Christmas day. By the 26th it was gone, but it was here when it needed to be! :)
Grandma Mary came to our house that afternoon and joined us for Christmas Eve Church. She stayed the night and watched the boys open their presents Christmas morning. We were so glad she was here with us!
This Christmas Eve was like no other. The excitement from the boys was more than it has ever been in years past! It was so cute and fun to watch! Tyler just bounced and jumped wherever he went and Brady was a little jumping bean as well. Putting the boys to bed was not difficult by any means, as they never give us a problem going to bed, but the smiles and excitement were still very alive in bed. I’m sure it took them some time to finally fall asleep that Christmas Eve night, but both of them did say that they heard Santa’s bells and the Reindeer on the roof! This Christmas Eve, with our 8-year-old 2nd grader and 6-year-old kindergartner, was a Christmas Eve that we will NEVER forget! My wish is that every one could be just like this one was!
Our boys after church with their candy canes from Father Reynolds.
They got to open their Christmas Eve box shortly after church. They got their new winter pajamas, a new Christmas movie, and some new popcorn bowls.
This year I got the boys a little tree for each of them for their bedrooms. They absolutely loved it and loved to decorate it!
The ornaments that Chippey brought each of them. The football player for Tyler and the Frosty for Brady.
Tyler set out the cookies for Santa and Brady set out the milk.
Then they both went outside to spread the reindeer food. There were lots of tracks in the snow on Christmas morning!
Chippey’s last night with us. His favorite spot! Next to Santa and the boys. We love him so!
