REYNOLDS CHRISTMAS

We were lucky enough to host the Reynolds Christmas at our house this year!  It made such a difference in our Christmas season to not have to drive 13 hours and it was so nice to have everyone here to celebrate Christmas!

Sam, Eula, Matt, and Laura all arrived on Saturday, Dec. 26th in the early afternoon.  Mitch and Sarah were supposed to arrive at midnight that night, however, their flight was cancelled and they did not arrive until early afternoon on Sunday.

We celebrated Christmas Sunday afternoon.  Everyone was very happy with their gifts!

Tyler and Brady both got Razor 360’s from Matt and Laura as a combined Birthday/Christmas gift.  They opened those on Saturday afternoon and were able to ride them outside for awhile on Saturday and again on Sunday before all the snow came.  They also opened up books from Matt and Laura, which they were both excited about, as they love to read!

Tyler got a remote control car, from grandma and grandpa, that can drive on snow, water, sand, and anything else.  It’s actually pretty cool and it’s what he wanted! 

Brady got a 2DS from Grandma and Grandpa.  He actually opened up just the case first.  He said, “My very own DS!!!”  And then he opened the case to find nothing inside.  Then he smiled big and said, “good one, guys, good one!”  It was the CUTEST thing!  He then quickly found his next present to open, which was his actual DS!  :)  He is beyond thrilled to have his own DS!  It was a long 2 months of Tyler having one and not him.

And then we got the Pie in the Face on the table and played a game.  Everyone had a turn!  And most everyone got the pie in the face!  It was a lot of fun!

I had a lot of videos on my camera, but not a lot of pictures.

We got a lot of snow on Monday!

Tyler took his remote control car out in the snow to watch it go.  It did great!

I even took a run on Monday morning in the snow.  It wasn’t bad and actually kind of fun!

Lee had to go to work on Monday and the rest of us went to the Y to either exercise or swim!  The kids had a great time swimming!

Matt, Laura, Mitch, and Sara were supposed to fly out early on Tuesday morning, however, their flight was cancelled and they weren’t going to be able to get out until January 2nd or 3rd!  So, they all got up and going on Tuesday morning and Sam and Eula drove them to Iowa City, where they rented a car to drive home in.

It wasn’t good airport travel for the crew, but I was happy to have everyone here.  My Christmas season was much less stressful not thinking about the four of us winter traveling down to TN.

We had a great Christmas all together!
