We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving at my mom’s house this past Thursday!
The boys and I left for Iowa City early afternoon on Wednesday, with Lee meeting us there after he got off work Wednesday night.
I was able to go for a Thanksgiving run Thursday morning, watch some of the parade and help my mom with what she needed help with in the kitchen. The boys enjoyed their time at Grandma’s and watching some of the balloons in the parade. Lee also enjoyed a Thanksgiving morning walk outside.
We had a house full for most of the day! Liz, Josh, Rachel, Imron, Kellan, Judy, Rex, Val, Ava, Kendall, Brenda, Kyle, Amy, and Grandma Kriz all joined us for the day. We watched some great football, ate some great food, and enjoyed each other’s company on a terrific Thanksgiving day!
After everyone left Thursday afternoon, we had some quiet game time and continued to watch football. Lee and Josh did their usual late night shopping Thursday night for Black Friday deals. However, this year they were able to go out much earlier as a lot of stores started opening at 6:00 or so. Lee got some really good deals!!! Mom had to go into work at 8:00 pm and Liz and I stayed back at home and relaxed on the couch while the boys slept and watched some TV.
We really had such a nice, relaxing, joyous day!
Brady, Tyler, and Ava.
Just a small amount of our wonderful family.
Kyle playing with and ‘taking down’ Ava and Tyler.
Sweet Kellan.
Brady and I.
Tyler and Ava had so much fun wrestling with each other!
Brady trying on one of Aunt Brenda’s ‘ugly’ Christmas sweaters that she had brought for me.
After most people left we all had some quiet time. Lucy was quick to find her comfy, quiet spot on the couch.
Quiet game time with Josh. Grandma got them a new game so they thought they better try it out.
Tyler cuddle up for a movie.
Brady was attached to Liz Thursday night. He couldn’t get enough of her cuddles. It was too cute!
LOVE!
I had the boys tell me what they were thankful for, most of the days in November. We had two frames, like this one, filled with leaves. It was a great activity for them to do and for all of us to think about what we are thankful for each day. I am so glad that we did this!
